Review by hotel critic
My delectable journey at Hotel Balocco began with a warm Italian welcome, setting the tone for a memorable stay. The Bistrot, offering a captivating panoramic view of the Porto Cervo sea, evoked a sense of Mediterranean splendor and charm, a true feast for the eyes. As a lover of authentic Italian cuisine, I was intrigued to indulge in the culinary delights at the much-acclaimed Secret Garden Restaurant within the hotel. One evening, my taste buds danced with delight as I savored the exquisite Mediterranean dishes crafted with finesse at Anna's Restaurant. The flavors of the region shone through each bite, leaving a lasting impression on my palate. The tranquil ambiance of the pool, surrounded by a lush garden and a poolside bar serving delectable snacks, provided the perfect setting to unwind and savor the moment.Exploring the nearby dining scene, I stumbled upon the renowned Spinnaker, a mere stroll away from the hotel. The culinary experience was elevated with each dish, showcasing the rich culinary heritage of the region. As I immersed myself in the local gastronomy, I couldn't help but appreciate the proximity to these gastronomic gems that added a layer of authenticity to my culinary escapade.Despite the delightful dining experiences, I must note that the breakfast offerings at the hotel were lacking in diversity for a four-star establishment. A wider selection of local delicacies and fresh juices would have enhanced the morning meals. Nonetheless, my overall gastronomic journey at Hotel Balocco was a culinary voyage through the heart of Italian flavors, leaving me craving for more.
